My Gorgeous Husband

For those who have asked to see the real thing here he is. Neil thinks this was taken in 1983/84, a long time before I knew him. When he's dropped his guard I will get a more up to date picture.

Yesterday I managed to do 3 whole rows of this. I don't do much crochet, in fact the only other crochet I have done was a Granny Square blanket but I am enjoying this. It is getting rather heavy and it keeps me very warm while I'm working on it.

These next 2 photos are of a blanket that my grandmother made about 30 years ago. I don't think I will ever be as good as she was, particularly not when I take into account that she used a proper pattern to make the blanket. Thats a pattern with symbols; no written instruction except for the size of crochet hook and amount of wool- amazing. She really was a very talented lady.

I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and say thank you to you all, for your kind comments and welcomes to the Blogosphere.
Just in case teacher is looking in I am now going to go and do some homework.

Oooh what lovely crochet! I love your ripple blanket. My current one is languishing in a basket, having been dumped due to my new-found obsession with sock knitting!

The husband's not bad either ;-)

Just popped over from Gina's to say "Welcome to blogging", hope you enjoy it all. The doll of your husband is amazing, isn't it? Not surprising as Gina is an amazing lady. I'm hoping to come to your opening on 24th. Happy New Year :o)

Hi Angela - Welcome to blogging, and I hope you manage to keep up with yours better than I do with mine - I've just posted after a very long gap. I love the doll that Gina made of your husband, it's brilliant. And I notice that you finish with a comment about homework too - that's the next thing on my list! See you in three weeks x
