Although I haven't been in the right frame of mind to do much crafting-wise I have been trying to keep myself busy and in some sort of routine. I managed to make this bag which I thought would be nice and simple and not involve too much thinking but it hadn't occured to me that the pattern might be wrong. Not to worry after some cursing and a few days I figured it out and it is very sweet.
Something I've been desperate to do is to make a baby quilt for Sam and Amy's baby that's due in a couple of weeks. But my heart wasn't in it because of how I've been feeling but I really needed to get it done and really really wanted to make it for them. So there was nothing left for it but to knuckle under and get on with it and I'm so glad I did. I've just got to finish the binding and take out all the basting stitches. I'm very pleased with it, it's so pretty.
Another way of keeping busy is to bake and I've made two dozen of these ready for tomorrow's class. Not the best picture, they look a lot better than this and I will confess taste lovely, so they are actually one short of two dozen but who's counting?
I've had lots of emails from people wishing me better, thank you to you all for your kind comments. I have been back to the doctors again this week, he still has no idea what is wrong but I've still got a temperature so he has given me some more antibiotics in case it's an infection and I've had a chest
x-ray. I have to go back again in two weeks, hopefully by then I will be better.
At least the weather has improved and the forecast for the weekend is favourable so I hope you all have a good one.
